Meet Zee
Our 2014 Eid theme design is Shabby "Zee" Chic. Shabby Chic, pronounced "Sheek" from french meaning stylish is a distressed old style look with pastel, floral, stripes and polka dot motifs.
So yes we are going vintage this year!!!
Because "chic" is a baby bird, party supplies often display love birds as a playful double entendre of the french word chic" . So with that in mind, we decided to also incorporate the bird in our new design, but for us this bird has a more significant meaning.
We decided to dedicate this design to a very special person by the name of Zina Mahmoud aka Um Gibreel, who passed away on August 26, 2013 from a car bomb while attending friday prayers on August 23rd, 2013 in Tripoli Lebanon. She was known to her family as "Zee".
She was Eid Creations's founder's younger sister and a strong moral supporter for her business. She was also a founder of Al Bouraq Center, a non profit organization helping widows and orphans better their lives. You can find more about that organization at https://www.facebook.com/albouraqcenter.

A percentage of the sales of Shabby Zee Chic design will go to Al Bouraq Center.
